Emotions v/s Money

In the materialistic world of today how much do emotions weigh in front of money? It might sound pretty naive of me to underestimate the power of either. On one scale if you see emotions they empower all the needs in life. Be it love, family, ambitions, a home. However, on the other scale if you see money it actually is the one that helps us achieve all our dreams and desires that are created by our emotions. And what drives our life? - is another call that we need to take and trust me its not a simple one. I always believed that emotions can make anything possible. That if i am passionate enough for anything I will always achieve it. (The Secret :) Though as the time kept passing by and as and when life kept teaching me different lessons i realized that there is something known as the means to satisfy the end. The means here denotes Money. It becomes more and more difficult to keep the flame of passion alive when you cant even start working at it. Money is required to have a home, it influences your family, if you have money you are a son/daughter who has done their parents proud. if you have money you have millions of people whom you can "call" friends. You don't need to let your children go through the hardships of life and therefore you're a superlative MOM or DAD. But wait a minute don't be in a haste to say that money is more dominant. There are still people who are your genuine friends even if you're broke, family that adores you even if you cant fulfill all their wishes. Hmmm.. so what is it that should rule our life I guess for me i have to say both. Not cause thats the easy way out but because i cant have money create my dreams and i cant have emotions fulfill my needs.
